Lip fillers at our clinic
It is a fusing of art and science when you are applying double filling agents under the lips, increasing their volume and definition. There are many providers of lip fillers Kent, but at our clinic, Stangrove Court Dental Practice, you will get a mix of professionalism and convenience that will be hard to beat!
What are fillers?
Like most other cosmetic products, lip fillers Kent are sterile, preloaded syringes of hyaluronic acid. Don’t let the name worry you; they are completely pH-neutral, and when it’s well hydrated (which it has to be because it is extremely hydrophobic), it is thick with a goo-like consistency but completely translucent. It naturally occurs in the tissue of all mammals but the hyaluronic acid we use in the clinic is derived from a bacteria source and has been grown in vast fermenters, guaranteeing a high-quality, safe and cruelty-free product.
What to expect during treatment
It’s not just about altering the size of lips, sculpting and shaping is an important part of improving the overall aesthetics of the frame of your smile too! The definition between the skin on your lips and the rest of your face can convert over time; this contrast can be increased as well as the symmetry of your lips, ensuring that both sides contain equal volume and your bow is put on primary display using fillers.
The treatment itself does not take long to perform and can easily be fitted into a lunch break as required. As there is no use of anaesthesia or local numbing agents, you will be safe to drive and operate heavy machinery afterwards.
Maintaining the effects and what to look out for
All dermal fillers are movable under the skin immediately after treatment; this can be particularly tricky when they are applied to the lips, as you use them to both talk and eat. We recommend that you minimise moving your mouth for a few hours after treatment and not engage in any strenuous activity or facial massages for 24 hours.
Lip fillers Kent are not permanent, and you will begin to notice a reduction in volume approximately 4 months after application, with many patients undergoing reapplication every 6-months. The temporary nature of fillers is a plus point for many patients who do not want to undergo permanent invasive procedures but simply want to try out a new look before taking on any permanent options.
Please note there has been a change in UK law adding an age limitation to who can receive cosmetic procedures using dermal fillers, so don’t be offended if we enquire about your age!
