Facial aesthetics and how dentists know best!
At Stangrove Court Dental Practice, we take our facial aesthetics Kent very seriously, so you can have confidence in getting the results you want!
Our dentists have a very close relationship with facial anatomy and are extensively trained in the musculoskeletal structure of the face as well as having to include aesthetic elements in every procedure they carry out. This leads to our dental surgery developing a wide toolset that has great applications for cosmetics. So, let’s talk through some of them.
Hyaluronic acid fillers
Hyaluronic acid fillers have several different names, depending on where they are applied. Lip or dermal fillers or more generic injectables. They both operate on the same principle; adding an inert substance under the tissue, thus pumping and filling it. This can be used to lift and smoothen areas of skin, reduce signs of wrinkles and increase the mass of the lips or their structure and make them more defined. Hyaluronic acid itself is found as a component of normal tissue in all mammals and have been nicknamed a “goo” structural molecule. It has a very high affinity with water and forms a translucent gel when hydrated.
Botox
Celebrity mishaps may have cast a shadow over Botox recently, but it is an excellent option for those who are looking to alter their appearance without going through any permanent or surgical procedures. By locally paralyzing areas of nerves, muscle groups begin to relax and significant changes can be brought about in your appearance. However, this powerful technique has to be used with a great deal of experience in order to achieve the desired effects. We are very proud of the Botox facial aesthetics Kent that we have carried out in our clinic, and you should not discount it as a possibility in achieving your aesthetic goals.
Obagi skincare range
The Obagi skincare range is one of the few skincare products that have been clinically proven, through a rigorous study, to significantly reduce all the signs of dermal ageing. It achieves this through a mixture of hormonal therapy and steroids, which reduce localised inflammation in the skin while smoothening and sinking pore size. Unfortunately, a prescription is required in order to provide the range and medical supervision needed for its continued usage with patients. But we have had excellent results with our patients using Obagi.
Our aesthetics expertise
While all of these tools are wonderful, they are really only as good as the craftspeople who use them. Our commitment to continually develop the skills and standards of our staff allows us to use them to their highest potential for facial aesthetics Kent. We are not only extremely proud of our portfolios of back work but are genuinely enthusiastic about what new technologies we can use and how we can provide our patients with even more all-inclusive options that are genuinely effective and safe.
